Child Protection Conferences
An initial Child Protection Conference is a meeting organised by social services. Its purpose is to decide whether a child is at risk of harm and if so what steps can be taken to try to reduce that risk.
It is important to get legal advice as soon as possible when social services are involved as obtaining early legal advice can often mean that future Care Proceedings in court can be avoided.
